Fast, reliable pool safety inspections and compliance certificates across Townsville.

Why Pool Inspections Matter in Queensland

Queensland has some of the most comprehensive pool safety laws in Australia.

Every pool must meet the requirements of the Queensland Development Code MP 3.4 and be registered with the QBCC.

A current Form 23 Pool Safety Certificate is required when:

  • Selling a property
  • Leasing a property
  • Transferring ownership
  • Advertising a home with a pool
  • …or when an existing certificate has expired

Our job is to make sure your pool barrier is safe, compliant, and meets all legal obligations – while giving you straightforward, honest direction on what needs fixing and how to do it properly.

What Our Pool Inspection Covers

Pool fence and boundary barriers

  • correct height and rigidity
  • gaps and ground clearance
  • climbable points within the safety zone
  • structural condition of boundary fences used as part of the barrier

Gate operation

  • self-closing mechanism
    reliable self-latching
  • correct outward swing direction
  • no obstructions or friction points

Non-climbable zones (NCZs)

  • vegetation, furniture and landscaping
  • fixed structures
  • general surroundings that may create a climbing risk

Access points and windows

  • external doors and gates from the house
  • windows that open into the pool area
  • compliance of latches, restrictors, and locking mechanisms

Pool surrounds

  • permanent fixtures or equipment
  • taps, BBQs, lighting, pumps, or structures that may reduce barrier safety
  • general condition and layout of the pool enclosure

1 Free Re-inspection

  • no hidden fees
  • no need to pay again to re-inspect what’s already been checked.

Then we'll issue your Compliance Certificate

If your pool meets all requirements, we promptly issue your Form 23 Pool Safety Certificate.

If issues are identified, you’ll receive a clear written report outlining:

  • what failed,
  • why it failed, and
  • the exact steps required to fix it.

You can then complete the required improvements before your re-inspection.
